Greetings everyone and welcome to my website!

       Astrology News for May 2013

Taurus is about stuff, let's face it. Stuff and more stuff.
But you can't really blame them. The sign is ruled by Venus,
the planet of wealth, possessions and enjoyment of the
physical world. And of course it is also the planet of love.
And Taurians are big lovers, especially in a sensual way.
They love holding hands, snuggling and hugs. If you ever
need a big supportive bear hug, go find a Taurus.

This sensual nature also applies to everything the five
senses can enjoy. Good food, good wine, music, comfy chairs
and beautiful paintings and art works. Go to dinner with a Taurus
and you're guaranteed to have a good time.

But they can also be stubborn. So set in their comfortable
ways, they can resist change even when it is clearly in their own
interest. And that brings us to Saturn, which is now in Scorpio
and at some point now or during the next year, Saturn will be
in opposition to their Suns in Taurus. This is setting up a
challenge to Taurus to be open to change and to make
adjustments in their goals and entrenched views of reality.
Career changes are common with a Saturn opposed Sun.

In other news, things are heating up in Washington with
at least three political scandals creating a perfect storm for
this administration. And it's not over by a long shot. On May 20th,
we will have the first of three squares of Uranus to Pluto, which
will keep things full of upheaval and surprises for weeks to come.
Uranus the truth bringer and rebel is shaking up the old corrupt
power structures of Pluto in Capricorn. Tension is in the air.

The last major contact between these two Titans was
in the mid 1960's when they were in conjunction.
And we know what happened then, right?
Stay tuned and get some popcorn. The times they
may be a changin' again.

best wishes,

Michael Thurman, MA
