General Forecast for Aquarius 2012 Ye Old Disclaimer - this forecast is based on the Solar House technique that is used in newspapers and popular magazines. The principle is basically to analyze the relationship between the Sun and other planets in terms of aspect and house position. While this method can often be amazingly accurate, it is only a "one size fits all" approach and won't be as accurate as a forecast based on your real birth chart.        This year's Aquarius ingress chart shows a dramatic opposition between Jupiter almost exactly on the 4th House and Saturn up at the Midheaven. Both are in square to the Sun, thus forming a T-square and indicating that this will be a year of major decisions for Aquarians.        The 4th and 10th houses represent two poles of our lives - the home and personal life versus career and our public life. Saturn will not officially enter Scorpio and the 10th House until October, but it is already close enough here to be an influence, and likely Aquarians are already feeling the pull to make some changes in their jobs, to achieve more and to gain greater satisfaction and recognition in their work. The opposition with Jupiter is not necessarily a bad thing - it brings a new awareness of the need to grow and how the existing limitations of your career situation are holding you back. The caution of Saturn must be modified now with the need for Jupiter's confidence and risk taking. If these two forces can be made to work together, this can be a very big year for career success. However, there may be ethical or even legal concerns (Jupiter) at work that cause problems for Aquarius. Individuals or the company as a whole may be engaged in behavior that is unethical. Or the company may be having management problems or going through a restructuring.        House-wise, the conflict may be between the needs of home and family versus your work demands or schedule. There might be a great new job offer, but it requires relocating. The question may be whether or not a move to another area might open more career opportunities for you. Another conflict may be the need to spend more time with family, or if single, on your own personal life and growth against the demands of a new job.        However, Jupiter is a 12 year cycle and important enough to warrant serious consideration in the 4th House. This might be one of the best times ever to make a move, purchase land or real estate, or even build a house. Jupiter in Taurus is excellent for long term security and getting a great deal on real estate, especially in today's buyers market. So the opportunity to move should be a priority. The best time would be early in the year, especially May when the Sun is in Taurus. Jupiter also makes a wide trine to the Moon, which strengthens the positive influence for success on the home front.      Saturn's square to the Sun brings up a perennial issue for Aquarius - the freedom and needs of the individual versus the responsibilities and structure of the company. Are you getting enough recognition for your work and is your Aquarian personality feeling hemmed in by the limitations imposed by your job? Aquarians are right on the brink of making some big decisions in their career, and the next two years could be some of the most prosperous ever. But these changes must be considered carefully due to the T-square's tension of needs. Still, Jupiter is trine Pluto, and Saturn makes a trine to Neptune on the 2nd House of income. So the overall outcome is likely to be very positive.        The Moon and the Node appear in the 11th House, and so networking could play an important role in career opportunities. Expanding your social life and experiencing more involvement in a group or community are big items for 2012 as well, especially so since the 11th House is the natural house for Aquarius. The Moon in Sagittarius suggests more travel as well as a need for a wider, more philosophical view of your life and direction this year.        Saturn's rulership of Capricorn on the 12th House, Pluto and Mercury within the 12th and Neptune's entrance into the Pisces 2nd House all suggest some involvement in charity work, a non-profit agency or some work that embodies your ideals in 2012. Another possibility with both Neptune and Venus now in the 2nd House of income is a greater use and development of your creative talents and imagination.        The ruler of Aquarius is Uranus which is just now entering the 3rd House of mental and intellectual life. Certainly this is a major transit to consider. Fresh new ideas and a desire to learn and develop your teaching or communication skills are starting to emerge. A great time to take classes, use more computer skills or express yourself through writing. Uranus can bring a revolution of your ideas and outlook on life. However, there could be a communication problem at work, or a freedom versus authority conflict with superiors as Uranus is inconjunct Saturn. Also, Uranus is square Pluto suggesting some family issues with a sibling that may be going through a crisis (3rd House) such as a divorce or health problem.        Mars will enter your 9th House of travel in July, and both July and August will be great for long trips and vacations especially internationally. Mars will enter your 10th House of career by September which is likely when a career choice will become clearer.
